      <description>Currently we have a k260 connecting to a HP dds3 tape and it backup some files every day at 1:00 using the tool of SAM.My issus is how can I make sure the tape drive always backup the files every day?Is there any log available?or there are some recorder which indicate system backup files every day?Pls help me.Thank you in advance!</description>

      <description>Also you can check them using SAM&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SAM--Backup ---&amp;gt;Automated--&amp;gt;Actions---&amp;gt;View log files--&amp;gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This will point to &lt;BR /&gt;View Full backup---&amp;gt;/var/sam/log/br_index.full&lt;BR /&gt;History log--&amp;gt;/var/sam/log/br_log&lt;BR /&gt;Incremental log--&amp;gt;/var/sam/log/br_index.incr&lt;BR /&gt;recovery log--/var/sam/log/br_index.rec</description>

      <description>According to the log the last backup was finished at 24.Dec.2003 but we change the tape every day and the tape drive should backup the files every day based on the schedule.So how can I do next?</description>

      <description>yeap.Because I just see the latest log is 24.Dec.2003,I am not sure the system backup the files from 25.Dec to 28.Dec or there is no log left though the backup finished based on the schedule.</description>

      <description>Was that a full backup?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is the tape there with the files.&lt;BR /&gt;Do check the /var/sam/sam.log for any details &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you can view the samlog file using  samlog_viewer -f option&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
