Can't install 4-port lan card

Hi all.
I got an A5506 card on 64bit server (9000/785). When I'm trying to enable the appropriate driver (btlan) the server doesn't come up. It begins to reboot itself to death until I use /stand/vmunix.prev which has the btlan driver disabled.

What can be the problem.

Did you install the product
A5506B PCI 10/100Base-TX 4 port -B version for the 64 bit from the application CD.

Yes. Thats exactly what I did.
I did it before on another server without any special problems.

What is the model of this machine?
What was the model of the machine in which it worked well?

The server that work is rp2450, and the problematic is b2600
