      <description>You can use 'lsof' if you wish, but you should be able to use the 'fuser' tool as well to find what process has the file open.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ fuser /mydir/my.dbf</description>

      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Lsof will be greatly useful for you.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Some commands example:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# lsof -c &lt;COMMAND name=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# lsof -u &lt;USERNAME&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;# lsof -u &lt;UID&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also used to find socket/ports:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# lsof -i tcp:23 &lt;BR /&gt;# lsof -i udp:123 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope it helps&lt;BR /&gt;-Vijay&lt;/UID&gt;&lt;/USERNAME&gt;&lt;/COMMAND&gt;</description>
