    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;I have a machine of configuration&lt;BR /&gt;HP-UX mars B.11.20 U ia64 1865879866 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;While telneting to the machine it is showing the following mesege&lt;BR /&gt;**************************************&lt;BR /&gt;Set terminal type to `98550' for console login.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;`xterm' terminal type is not supported.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;TERM = (98550)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Erase is Backspace6C64C72C80C88C&lt;BR /&gt;Kill is Ctrl-U&lt;BR /&gt;$    &lt;BR /&gt;*************************************&lt;BR /&gt;while opening an xterm it is showing error&lt;BR /&gt;$ xterm&lt;BR /&gt;xterm: no available ptys&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;even we are able to take log of console&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ script&lt;BR /&gt;Script started, file is typescript&lt;BR /&gt;script: Error opening /dev/ptym/clone: No such device                                               could not reset pty ownership and access mode&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Waiting for the help from you.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Sugata&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>You need to increase the pseudo tty's on your system. By default the driver is installed, but what it looks like is you've run out of resources. This is how I would fix this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# cd /stand/build&lt;BR /&gt;# /usr/lbin/sysadm/system_prep -s system&lt;BR /&gt;# vi system&lt;BR /&gt;if not included add these items and values toward the bottom of the file.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;npty 512&lt;BR /&gt;nstrtel 512&lt;BR /&gt;nstrpty 512&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Save the file&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# mk_kernel -s system (generates a new kernel)&lt;BR /&gt;# kmupdate&lt;BR /&gt;Reboot your system&lt;BR /&gt;# cd /&lt;BR /&gt;# shutdown -r -y now&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;After the reboot, run the following commands to generate the new pty's &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# cd /dev&lt;BR /&gt;# insf â  d pty â  s 1024 â  e â  v&lt;BR /&gt;# insf â  d ptm â  s 1024 â  e â  v&lt;BR /&gt;# insf -d telm â  s 1024 â  e â  v&lt;BR /&gt;# insf -d tels â  s 1024 â  e -v &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am assuming that the command</description>

      <description>Hi Michael,&lt;BR /&gt;Thanx.&lt;BR /&gt;I have changed the kernel configuration. But as users are connected to the system I need some time to reboot the system.
