    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How many LAN Cards you have in server ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you have to configure driver for LAN card in kernel.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;anyway one lan port whihc is on core i/o is already configured you can use it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sunil</description>

      <description>I have a lancard in a server i can't see!&lt;BR /&gt;I can only see the build in BTLAN:&lt;BR /&gt;# ioscan -funC lan&lt;BR /&gt;Class     I  H/W Path  Driver S/W State   H/W Type     Description&lt;BR /&gt;===================================================================&lt;BR /&gt;lan       0  0/0/0/0   btlan3 CLAIMED     INTERFACE    HP PCI 10/100Base-TX Core&lt;BR /&gt;                      /dev/diag/lan0  /dev/ether0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The server is a N-Class installed with 11.00. I would think i need to install something.&lt;BR /&gt;The server has been booted!</description>

      <description>If its an other lancard then the btlan3 you would probable need to install it's driver.&lt;BR /&gt;If you can figure out the harware address of it's slot that the lancard is installed in you can try to query on that using ioscan:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ioscan -fncH 1/12/0....       <description>If you leave away -C lan from your ioscan command then you should at least see _something_... what type of interface is it?&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;I would guess you need to install:&lt;BR /&gt;  &lt;BR /&gt;J4253AA B.11.00.05   100BT/9000 PCI&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;It's on the application CDs (DART).&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Best regards...&lt;BR /&gt;Dietmar.</description>

      <description>Hmm... looks like the B5509BA is supposed to be installed in workstations only. However, it also uses the btlan5 driver, which is in the J4253AA bundle also.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Best regards...&lt;BR /&gt;Dietmar.</description>

      <description>Change the pci slot that you plugged into.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Boot the system&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Install all the appropriate software listed above &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;run the command insf -e&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;verify that the driver is in /etc/system&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If not, add it and rebuild the kernel&lt;BR /&gt;mk_kernel &lt;BR /&gt;kmupdate&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;reboot&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Good Luck&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
