Hi,

Yes. You will have to have a base partition called "Genesys" partition before you can create other partitions. Genesys partition is created by the command "cc" in CM menu of GSP. This is a one cell partition with core I/O capabilities with a boot disk and access to install media. Once the OS is installed you can configure other partitions using parmgr command or GUI.

-Sri

Hi,

To create N partition on rp7xxx or rp8xxx servers first do I have to install 11i OS?

I didn't get the concept here. I assumed(sorry about that)from GSP I can create partition 1,2,3 etc.. and install the OS. But from the manual I am reading system which is running 11i using parcreate command another partition can be created.

My question on a new system how to create first npartition?

Thanks.
