Will Oracle9i only run on 11i or can a 9i database reside on a 11.0 server?

As far as I know 9i can run on HP-UX 11.0

We do have many 9i installations on 11.0 servers. It can run on both 11.0 and 11i.

It is supposed to. We are only running it on 11i, so I cannot say from experience.

The same issues apply to each, namely make sure you have the all of the correct patches for your version of the OS and Java.

Oracle 9i release 1 and 2 will defininitely run on an 11.00 server.

That would appear to be an Oracle question.
