Check out the Software Recovery Handbook:
http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/iv/node.do?node=prodITRC%2FWW_Start%2FN1%7C16

Specifically you want Chapter 16 - Logical Volume Manager. It goes into details about how to replace disk drives. From the link below click on the "Open the Logical Volume Manager (LVM) chapter" link.

http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/iv/node.do?node=prodITRC%2FWW_Start%2FN1%7C16%7C11

HI Jennik,

If the disk had a problem and you replaced it, then you would need to follow more than 'lvchange|vgchange' procedure. Search these forums with 'replace mirror disk' and you should get quite a few threads on it.

If you are sure that the disk is ok, then you would need to do

#vgsync vgxx

This will sync'up all the logical volumes in that volume group.

-Sri

Hi Jannik,

I would tell you to know reasons that disks had errors. Probably hw problems?
If yes then work about an hw call.
If no hw problems on disk then just

# vgsync

Best regards,
Ettore
