Hi there experts,

We have a problem mounting NFS on a particular HP-UX 10.20 server. We get the message:
RPC_REMOTE_PROGRAM_UNAVAILABLE

What could be the problem? Please ask us for more information if needed.

Is the mount exported on the NFS server?

Also verify that you have:

# ps -ef|grep rpc
root 2618 1 0 16:49:06 ? 0:00 /usr/sbin/rpc.lockd
root 2832 1 0 16:49:22 ? 0:32 /opt/dce/sbin/rpcd
root 2612 1 0 16:49:05 ? 0:00 /usr/sbin/rpc.statd
root 3830 1 0 16:50:40 ? 0:00 /usr/sbin/rpc.mountd
active on the system(s).

If not, check either via SAM that the network services are enabled appropriately!
