    <description>hello faizer,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;         If ur collegues suggest that there is a problem with &lt;BR /&gt;/etc/sam/br/fbackup_config file ,there is a way to test indeed it is a problem with that file or not,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;         since the file seems to be sam related file ,you can try taking backup using fbackup utility without sam.Refer man pages of fbackup for its usage.then try restoring from this backup using frecover.If u find no error while recovering based on this activity,then u can conclude that there must indeed be some configuration error with   /etc/sam/br/fbackup_config file.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;best of luck &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;senthil</description>

      <title>Frecovery - Error</title>

      <description>I have HP UX11.11. I use HP Ultrium Tapes to backup my system through SAM [fbackup]. &lt;BR /&gt;The log provides me a successful backup. On restoration/ Verification I do get the following error.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;frecover(2114): read error from input device (I/O error) &lt;BR /&gt;frecover(2114): read error from input device (I/O error) &lt;BR /&gt;frecover(2113): unable to resync backup media            &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This error is coming on all my backups.&lt;BR /&gt;To verify I use frecover -Nxv -f /dev/rmt/0m 2&amp;gt; index&amp;amp;&lt;BR /&gt;In addition I use HP Ultrium tapes. make C7971A.&lt;BR /&gt;Is this a media problem, or a hardware problem or a problem with frecover, or are there any patches to be applied.&lt;BR /&gt;Please Help....&lt;BR /&gt;best regards&lt;BR /&gt;Faizer</description>

      <description>The recovery command as registered in the br_log file&lt;BR /&gt;frecover -xv -o  -X  -g /var/sam/graphTBAa22918 -f /dev/rmt/0m &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The restore goes through to a certain extent then gives the error.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Its not spanning 2 tapes.&lt;BR /&gt;Its brand new tapes that are used and its Ultrium [ HP brand].&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is it required to apply this particular patch..&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_28998&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
