No compile necessary. If a recompile were needed the standard instructions at http://www.apache.org will work. You have to follow Oracle instructions for modifying the httpd.conf and other configuration file and install their module where apache needs it. The changes are all configuration as far as I know.

There are two choices when installing Oracle:

The easy one is to let oracle install its own "instance" the their httpd server, which is based on Apache.

The second is to allow the oracle install to modify the existing configuration or modify it yourself.

They basically put in a module and a few tweaks. We have found it easier to let Oracle create its own httpd server.

SEP

Hello Stephen,

The problem is located in PHP module for Apache. The PHP module can support Oracle to connect database but it seems to not be compiled in the deport package provide by HP. I have not found the sources of this package. Do you know where I can find them ?

Regards, Françoi
