Hello Gang,

When I execute from 'it-hp36' the Perfview gui (/opt/perf/bin/pv &), and select:
Data Sources -> Manage -> All Known Systems -> it-hp38

I receive the following error:
"Could not connect to Measureware perflbd on 'it-hp38' ( PV11-31 )"

"it-hp38" has the "perflbd" running as follows:
it-hp38 # ps -aef | grep perflbd
root 2060 1 0 Oct 27 ? 0:11 /opt/perf/bin/perflbd

Could this have something to do w/ the versions
being different?

**** swlist OUTPUT from it-hp36 ****
it-hp36 # swlist -l bundle | egrep -i "perfview|measureware"
B5013AA_TRY C.03.10.00 Trial HP PerfView for s800 11i
it-hp36 # swlist -l product | egrep -i "perfview|measureware"
MeasureWare C.03.71.00 MeasureWare Software/UX
PerfView C.03.10.00 HP PerfView Software/UX
it-hp36 # swlist -l fileset | egrep -i "perfview|measureware"
# MeasureWare C.03.71.00 MeasureWare Software/UX
MeasureWare.MWA C.03.71.00 MeasureWare Software files
MeasureWare.MWALIC-SERVER C.03.71.00 HP MWA License files
MeasureWare.PERFDSI C.03.71.00 HP PCS Data Source Integration
# PerfView C.03.10.00 HP PerfView Software/UX
PerfView.PV C.03.10.00 HP PerfView files
PerfView.PV-PLATFORM-HP C.03.10.00 HP PerfView files
#

**** swlist OUTPUT from it-hp38 ****
it-hp38 # swlist -l bundle | egrep -i "perfview|measureware"
it-hp38 # swlist -l product | egrep -i "perfview|measureware"
MeasureWare C.03.35.00 MeasureWare Software/UX
it-hp38 # swlist -l fileset | egrep -i "perfview|measureware"
# MeasureWare C.03.35.00 MeasureWare Software/UX
MeasureWare.MWA C.03.35.00 MeasureWare Software files
MeasureWare.MWALIC-SERVER C.03.35.00 HP MWA License files
MeasureWare.OVOPC-INT C.03.35.00 GlancePlus Pak / ITO-SE Integration
MeasureWare.PERFDSI C.03.35.00 HP PCS Data Source Integration
it-hp38 #

Hi,

From it-hp36 do

$telnet it-hp38 382

If you get a connection refused, then you may have to start perflbd again. It doesn't hurt restarting it anyway (I would do 'mwa stop', make sure I kill all the processes and then do 'mwa start').

Otherwise, it could be the version mismatch.

-Sri
