Hi,

use swcopy to copy the patches to a depot
and then swinstall that depot.
Install will analyse the disk space usage.
You will get more information if you use swcopy.

Regsrda

Hello,

You could just run swinstall in the gui format and then run an analysis on the depot. When it finishes look at the 'DISK SPACE' option and it will have a break down of before and after values. If it is going to fail because of disk space it will let you know, and you will not be able to continue.

Hope this helps!
-Bryan

Hi P.

Like Bryan mentioned you can do only the analayes.
#swinstall -p

from command line.

Gideon

A good step before to get an estimate of the total is to build the paches into a depot.

save then all on the server to a single directory,

put this in a script and add the target depot name as the input parameter:

for i in PH*
do
sh $i
done

for i in *.depot
do
swcopy -s ${PWD}/$i \* @ ${1}
done

Now you can run the earlier commands on the sum total of the patches.

SEP

Hi Paresh

analysis phase will tell you whether the space is sufficient or not, don't worry in the beginning itself.

create bundle of all patches as told by other member and install in one shot
