bout boot !

my system is hp9000 D270
os is 10.20
after replaced the damaged CDROM
we power on the system
but it can't boot from 8/16/5.6.0 (hard disk primary boot device)
but the second boot time
i discontinue it during 10 seconds
and
>sea
>bo p3
but this time
it boot normally
then i shutdown it again
and boot it
it can't boot
so i >sea
and
>bo p3
it boot normally!
what's wrong with my system!

After booting into the OS.
check whether the primary boot path is correct.

setboot -v
will give you with the necessary info.
check also whether the autoboot is enabled

to enable autoboot
setboot -v on

also set the primary boot path if not set properly
setboot -p 16/5.6.0

Check the scsi id on the cd

Its probably wrong.

ioscan -fnk

last resort

insf -e

I think its the scsi id. Those labels on the cd's are a real pain to figure out, even the tech sometimes blow it.
