I set up a printer for Solaris Sparc 2.7 using the driver found at this site: http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindexes/hpjdprinte18924_swen.html#Solaris%207

How can I set up HP Jet Direct printer NOT to print the separation (cover) page everytime?. I used admintool and deselected "print no banner" and still had no success. I also tried this command: lp -p hpprinter -o nobanner. I still had no success. I also used this command "hppi", no success.

Thanks
Cindy

If you have Jetadmin in addition to Jetdirect
you can modify the printer file located in
/etc/lp/interface/model.orig

Change banner="yes" to banner=""

You may use:

1) "-onb" at the beginning of the printer command

2) If not try creating a new model script on HP-UX without the banner parameter.
