Check the settings in /etc/rc.config.d/nfsconf as well....is this server exporting to nfs clients? If yes - maybe just increase NUM_NFSD.....

Rgds...Geoff

May be related to NFS? Are you almost out of virtual memory on the server?

swapinfo -t

Rgds...Geoff

This is not an error, but a Warning that the system appeared to have a resource issue at the time it needed to do something using NFS.

It should not casue you any problems, unless it is happening too often, in which case you may need to look at the kernel settings, or NFS settings

Hi Ralf,

The root cause of this is the server did not reply to the client's request when
the client was attempting to create a filehandle. If this message occurs
frequently then a nettl trace should be taken and the cause of why the server is
not responding to the clients request investigated (there are many well-known
reasons why this could occur).

But as for the 'severity' of this message I consider it a normal NFS response to
a slow/non-responding server and not something that indicates a defect.

Rgds
