FC-Adapter A6795A on L2000

I have two A6795A to connect to SAN and all is well. But "swverify \*" gives messages like this:
WARNING: fcT1 is configured into "/stand/vmunix", but a FCMS interface card has not been detected.
Is A6795A not a FCMS interface card ?
What can I do, I don`t like such messages.

Hi,

You mean "all is well", that the SAN connection is working fine?
When you do an "ioscan -fnC fc" it should report the device as CLAIMED.
If not check if you loaded the correct driver software for your specific fc-adapter.

Please check whether this patch is installed or not (this is FCMS dependency patch for 11.0)
PHKL_23939
If not installed get from
http://us-support2.external.hp.com.
And the driver should look like :

A6795A B.11.00.10 PCI Tachyon TL/TS/XL2 Fibre Channel

For 11i, use this
Install the FCMS dependency patch, PHKL_23626
And the driver should look like:
FibrChanl-00 B.11.11.09 PCI/HSC FibreChannel;Supptd HW=A6684A,A6685A,A5158A,A6795A

Sounds like a dead card. If its not on ioscan or its in an incompatible slot this can be the issue.

The driver can remain installed even if the card is not there.

I would agree with the above to check your drivers, patch versions, and make sure ioscan shows claimed. If you are running redundant paths you might want to make sure that one of your cards/paths have not failed. If you are using EMC you could check it with a powermt display and see if any of your paths had failed
