      <description>i have hpux 11 on b1000.&lt;BR /&gt;/home is not mounted, the message is&lt;BR /&gt;"not a valid vxfs format".&lt;BR /&gt;i try with dd to make image, make new /home &lt;BR /&gt;and write back with dd&lt;BR /&gt;the message is the same "not a valid vxfs format".&lt;BR /&gt;have i lost the data or is a way to save it?</description>

      <description>I think there is a file called /etc/fefaults/fs ??, If there is an entry to say it is Vxfs and he tryies to mount the fs , where it is HFS&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I think you should find out what type of filesystem it by fstyp and mount -F hfs / vxfs .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regds,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kaps</description>

      <description>If the filesystem was corrupted/destroyed, you may need to newfs home, then restore from the backup.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# newfs -F [hfs or vxfs] /dev/vg00/rlvolx&lt;BR /&gt;# mount /home&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
