printing problems

My father gave me his hp printer, fax, copier all in one. It is an hp officejet. The problem I am having is not being able to print from my computer. The software was for Windows 3.1 and I use Win 98. It loaded everything fine (seemed to anyway) It will let me send and receive faxes and copy but not print from computer. Any help would be appreciated.

As a guess, check the driver.

There is no printer driver available for the Hewlett-Packard (HP) OfficeJet printer when you attempt to install the printer in Print Manager.

RESOLUTION

Normal printer functionality should be available using any of the following drivers:

- HP DeskJet 520
- HP DeskJet 510
- HP DeskJet 550C

I'm not sure of the model #, but several types fit your request.
