      <description>i want config a remote syslog and i modify the syslog.conf for send the all messages to my server syslog.&lt;BR /&gt;my syslog.conf in the hp9000 is this&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/etc-&amp;gt; cat syslog.conf&lt;BR /&gt;# @(#)B.11.11_LR &lt;BR /&gt;#&lt;BR /&gt;# syslogd configuration file.&lt;BR /&gt;#&lt;BR /&gt;# See syslogd(1M) for information about the format of this file.&lt;BR /&gt;#&lt;BR /&gt;mail.debug              /var/adm/syslog/mail.log&lt;BR /&gt;*.info;mail.none        /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log&lt;BR /&gt;*.alert                 /dev/console&lt;BR /&gt;*.alert                 root&lt;BR /&gt;*.emerg                 *&lt;BR /&gt;*.*                  @ajusa-servicios&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the host ajusa-servicios is defined in the file hosts, but i don't  see nothing in my server log.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thans and sorry by my english.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;sistemas@ajusa.es</description>

      <description>there are many spaces between *.* and @ajusa-servicios, and i can do ping to &lt;BR /&gt;ajusa-servicios.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i think that if this line is not operate, would be appears in some file log, but ' search it, but i don't find it.</description>

      <description>i have proved this but i don't run.&lt;BR /&gt;I have append one line to syslog.conf :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;*.*           /var/adm/syslog/mylog.log&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and after the restart the syslogd and inetd, the file mylog.log has empty and don't receive any message from syslog.</description>
