Hi!
I have installed Samba on Hp-UX 11.00, but i need to restart until 5 times in one day because smdb and nmbd are using much CPU, is there some patch or procedure for resolv that isue.

Pls Help me.

Hi,

Are you running open source Samba, or CIFS/9000? If it's CIFS/9000 then ensure you have a recent version (A.01.11 is the latest - available from http://software.hp.com ) and follow the kernel parameter recommendations.

It would also be useful to know what security method you are using and roughly how many users you have.
