Ciao Claudio,

is it important to understand if your problem is by commandline and SAM or just by SAM.

Try by commandline and let us know.

Best regards,
Ettore

Hi ,

om hp-ux 11.00 after adding driver 'vxadv' for Advanced JFS , when i try recompile kernel ( using sam ) I've foolowing error

Cannot build a kernel using /usr/sbin/config. The standard output of â â
â â the command is shown below: â â
â â â â â â â â
â â â Stop. â ^ â
â â â config: make did an exit(1) â â â
â â â

..sorry ..

error is :

Cannot build a kernel using /usr/sbin/config. The standard output of the command is shown below:

Stop.
config: make did an exit(1)

The command exitted with exitcode -71.

What is strange is that I've 'vxbase' driver out and while I select and add 'vxadv' driver also 'vxbase' is selected and added to new kernel.

I've already have 'vxfs' driver in kernel.

Hi Claudio,

/usr/include/sys/errno.h: error number 71 means "Too many levels of remote in path".

I have to admit the message doesn't mean a great deal to me, but I hope it gives you a starting point.

Mark Syder (like the drink but spelt different)
