Hi All,
Planning to upgrade our 5450 running 11.0 to 11.i. The Installation and update guide says to upgrade the firmware prior to updating to 11.i. The troubleshooting appendix says to install firmware patches after the system is running 11.i. Our current firmware level is 40.48 and 41.39 is recommended.

Upgrade the firmware before doing the os upgrade.

Hi Rocky,

As a rule, you always want to upgrade the FW *before* you load a newer OS. In fact it's frequently required for new HW support or features that the newer OS brings to the table.
