10872 -s fs_sa_vg /usr/sam/lib//fs.ui exited with a non-zero exit
status.

sh: 10942 Bus error(coredump) Iam having this error message when trying to access volume group thru sam.i need someone to tell me what this means, what patch bundle should i install to correct these.

We are having the exact same problem when trying to access a volume group with SAM. Have you managed to find a solution to this. Thanks

Have you installed SAM cumulative patches? Ever encountered such errors, the cumulative patches fixed the problem.

One task you might want to do is check the state of filesets and patches on the system

do:
swlist -l fileset -a state | grep -e corrupt -e transient -e installed

If you get anything, check which dfileset as it may be a SAM one, and do:
swconfig \*

Then retry SAM.
otherwise check that you have the lates SAM patch plus dependencies.

I agree. The latest SAM cumulitive patches are:
PHCO_21186 for HP-UX 10.20
PHCO_22269 for HP-UX 11.X
