Very large Print request

A user just told me that they sent a very large print request to a printer. Through Sam I went into printer then to lp spooler. When I go to print requests it just sits there trying to get print request information. Is there anyway I can kill the jobs that are being sent to the spooler?

You can use cancel command to cancle the jobs sent to the spooler.

Use the 'cancel' command

e.g.
cancel printer-job

# cancel printer1-4567

# man cancel

If you lots of jobs

# cancel -e printer1

hi,

first just disable the printer then as others pointed out use the cnacel command.
