    <description>Their is a free tool called "tapeinfo". You can get it from the following location-&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;ftp://contrib:9unsupp8@hprc.external.hp.com/sysadmin/programs/tapeinfo&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;DAT drives maintain counters in the hardware and this tool can inspect the values to see how much data was sent to the tape drive and how much of it was compressed.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;HTH&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;-- Rod Hills</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;   I want to know when I backup data to DDS4 tape via fbackup command. &lt;BR /&gt;  But I don't know when the tape will be full, while executing fbackup.&lt;BR /&gt;  Does it have any command which to know the actual volume size of the data ,&lt;BR /&gt;  or it can show the % of usage of the tape.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks.</description>
