Hi guys,

Aside from uname -a, how can I check if my HP-UX OS and server processor are 64bit.

Hi

Run the following command:
# file /stand/vmunix

If it returns the following then its 64bit:
/stand/vmunix: ELF-64 executable object file - PA-RISC 2.0 (LP64)

You can also use:
# getconf KERNEL_BITS

Hi,
From the command-line
=====================
$ getconf KERNEL_BITS

or:
$ file /stand/vmunix
/stand/vmunix: PA-RISC1.1 executable ---> 32-bit
/stand/vmunix: ELF-64 executable object file ---> 64-bit

From SAM
========
1) goto Performance Monitors -> System Properties -> Operating System
2) check OS Kernel Width: value
