      <description>Absolutely NOT!  DDS4 tapes will work in DDS4 drives ONLY!  The tapes are NOT backward compatible.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Tapes ARE, however, forward compatible.  In other words, DDS2 TAPES can work in DDS2, DDS3 and DDS4 DRIVES.</description>
