Hi Tom,
please post the exact line, as coming from the syslog.log, and any line before that.

Looks like net stuff, but that message is new for me too :)

DO you have anything in the dmesg ?

I suspect a bad cable connection, that is causing some trouble...

Are there errors in the nic ? Please check with lanadmin..

Tom,

If you have a support contract on this machine, I'd call HP with this one.

I've searched through the knowledge base and I can't find anything about that message.

I agree with Massimo in that it sounds like it is network related. Perhaps you are getting bad packets from somewhere? Is your network performing OK?

This is a new message to me as well.
