Process Dies ??

HI,
I have an Install script which installs
Informix, weblogic and my CODE binaries
written in C.

When my Code fails to start during
installation, the most strange part is
all weblogic daeomin which were started
by the scriptalso gets killed ??
though these processes are not interlinked.

why is it so ??
The script is starting the process in
background and informix keeps on running
why is it that that weblogic dies ?

command which is starting weblogic is
startWebLogic.sh &

Please help me with this.

Amit,

The script is the parent process.
When calling other processes use nohup as
a precursor of the process and regardless
whether others die it won't.

Hi Amit,

The nohup(1) man page explains how to start processes with the hangup signal blocked.
