Printer setup save/restore

Hi,

I am currently setting up a new system (rp8400 running 11.11)and I would like to have the same list of printers setup on it that I have setup on another system (SuperDome running 11.11). Using SAM I saved the printer configurations from the SD and restored them on the RP, but I still don't see any printers show up when I run a "lpstat -a".

Is this process possible, and if so, what am I missing?

Save the config through SAM. It saves in /var/sam/lp. Put all the files under /var/sam/lp tp another node. (ftp/rcp/scp)

Then on another host recover through SAM.

Hi,

This process works for network and remote printers, but not for the local printers. How are the printers connected on your system.

do you also have jetadmin installed on the new system if it exisits on the old one.
