      <description>Hi, &lt;BR /&gt;I have following : &lt;BR /&gt;# lvlnboot -v&lt;BR /&gt;Boot Definitions for Volume Group /dev/vg00:&lt;BR /&gt;Physical Volumes belonging in Root Volume Group:&lt;BR /&gt;        /dev/dsk/c1t2d0 (0/0/1/1.2.0) -- Boot Disk&lt;BR /&gt;        /dev/dsk/c2t2d0 (0/0/2/0.2.0) -- Boot Disk&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then also my ISEE report says I have boot disk on same HW path, i shud purchase new hardware to shift the alternate disk. isnt it something wrong report? &lt;BR /&gt;Thanks and rgdz&lt;BR /&gt;Prashant</description>

      <description>Did you execute dd from c1t2d0 to c2t2d0 ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# echo "0x2008?4D" | adb /dev/dsk/c1t2d0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# echo "0x2008?4D" | adb /dev/dsk/c2t2d0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; Execute the above commands. If the output for the both the disks match, that implies&lt;BR /&gt;LVM headers on both the disks are same.</description>

      <description>I dont see any problem with this. PVID field should be different.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;May be it is referring to the way your mirroring has been setup ? - It would be a good idea to check and confirm the allocation policy (PVG-strict) and if you have /etc/lvmpvg file.</description>

      <description>Prashant --&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Its possible that its complaining because both of them are off of the 0/0 card although I'm not sure.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Are we sure these are seperate disks or are they alternate links to the same disk ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best regards,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kent M.       <description>They cannot be alternate links to the same disk since the PVID is different. If both the device files refer to the same device then PVID will be same.</description>
