hi,
the socket files are created/used by/for some of the daemons for collecting messages.its path is specified and you will not be able to remove when the daemon is running .you can find the respective daemon by lsof command(if command is not there you should have to install it)

eg: /dev/log.un is used by syslog daemon.see the contents of man page.
syslogd collects messages from the UNIX domain socket /dev/log.un, an
Internet domain socket specified in /etc/services, the named pipe
/dev/log, and from the kernel log device /dev/klog.

if lsof is there ,

lsof /dev/log.un will shows which daemon is running on that file.

regds,
