Error make_tape_ignite

Hello
I get the following error message
during make_tape_ignite.
I changed the DAT-tape-station and I used
different dat-tapes.

Adding /opt/ignite/Version file to LIF.

1249+0 records in
1248+1 records out
I/O error

ERROR: /usr/bin/dd if=/var/tmp/uxinstlf.recovery of=/dev/rmt/0mn bs=2k failed
to write LIF onto tape.
ERROR: Failed to generate LIF on tape .

ok, ioscan look good. Did you check if the tape is set read only. Check the status of the tape.

# mt -f /dev/rmt0mn status

Perhaps DDS-1 ok ??

is there an other application keeping the tape drive open/mounted ?

There is a bad spot on the tape. Part of it was written OK but it terminated with an I/O error. Does the Clean light flash after the error? Run the cleaning tape and use a different tape.
