Hi Masters,
I'm getting error while geting file
from remote server using FTP:
Can't build data connection: connection timed out.

Hi,
Which is the host server where is it located
sam LAN or over WAN ?

What is the ping response to that server
tell the TTL of ping.

Hi,
The server is in wan and the TTL is 10ms.
i'm able to ping and loging to the remote server.

Ashwin,
There are lot of factors which can
contribute to this error
1-> System Laod
2-> Network Traffice
3-> Number Of Active FTP Sessions

Please proved the details what is the
filesize, is it a public ftp server or what?

Hi,

the problem could be because of slow network connection or too much traffic. Try and use "ftp -n" instead of a simeple ftp.

Also try and search for ftp patches for your version of OS.
