Hi,

This doc is for NT/Windows, but the one for unix should follow the same pattern.

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/249076.htm

I know we did netbackup restore to alternate server, but i don't remeber restoring to an alternate location on the alternate server. We primarily used the same mount point on the alternate server. It was more of a disaster recovery test situation.

You can play with the "bprestore" command and initiate the restore from the command line. However our experience had been that using bprestore from the command line uses a lot of resource on the netbackup master server as compared to the xbp or java GUI.

Hope this helps.

regds
