    <description>Hi Guys,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; Is it normal to have block per disk to be 0 under the command "diskinfo"&lt;BR /&gt;e.g.&lt;BR /&gt;"SCSI describe of /dev/rdsk/c0t5d0:&lt;BR /&gt;             vendor: IBM     &lt;BR /&gt;         product id: DDRS-39130WS    &lt;BR /&gt;               type: direct access&lt;BR /&gt;               size: 0 Kbytes&lt;BR /&gt;   bytes per sector: 0&lt;BR /&gt;          rev level: HP01&lt;BR /&gt;    blocks per disk: 0&lt;BR /&gt;        ISO version: 0&lt;BR /&gt;       ECMA version: 0&lt;BR /&gt;       ANSI version: 2&lt;BR /&gt;    removable media: no&lt;BR /&gt;    response format: 2 "&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;could this be that the disk is not mounted? anyway I did encounter problem booting up with a LV inside this PV.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you all for your info.</description>

      <description>Hi Henry,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Where is the disk located?. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As you can see it's size is 0. Looks like you have a bad disk. On XP/Hitachi storages you will see LUN 0 devices with 0 bytes called placeholder LUNs and the description of it would say "DISK SUBSYSTEM". &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Yours doesn't seem to be the case. So, I suspect you have a bad disk in slot 5 of your disk (possibly Jamaica??) array.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Sri</description>

      <description>Many disk arrays like our Xiotech show up and are detected as disks. They are not, and will fail a hardware excercize if you try and test it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I've taken to getting our SAN admin to setting up an actual lun and presenting it as LUN 0. this makes that problem go away.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Size is 0 as well.  It looks like you have a hardware problem with this disk.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
