      <description>1) Make another ignite backup in case you mess up.&lt;BR /&gt;2) You can use tar or pax options to get the one file you want out of the archive. See the man page for those commands.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>You first need to skip over the boot records on the tape with mt:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;mt -f /dev/rmt/0mn fsf 1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;then you can run your tar command.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pete</description>
