Gian,

I have seen this app listed in the swlist output of some of my customers' systems, which would imply that it was installed using swinstall. However, after quickly scanning the install info on IBM's website, it appears that they utilize their own installer. (I wouldn't doubt that their installer then calls swinstall, but I have no way to easily verify that.)

If you want to search IBM's documentation, here's a link to the WebSphere info library:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/ws51help/index.jsp?tab=search&searchWord=websphere+installation+hpux+t=rk&maxHits=54

If you don't get a definite answer from somebody on this forum, please post your findings for everybody's benefit. Thanks, and I hope this is helpful.

Best Regards,

Dave

By the way...I guess I could have cleaned up the link a bit.
