Hi,
I'm trying to start Mozilla on a HP-UX 11i server. I'm receiving the following error message:
# ./mozilla
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't open shared library: /opt/gnome/lib/libiconv.sl.2
/usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory
./run-mozilla.sh[36]: 5815 Abort(coredump)

I resolved this problem on a 11.0 system by installing the B6848BA software depot. When I use the same cd on the 11i system this depot is not available for install. Any suggestions? Looks like it needs the gnome libraries - any alternatives where I can get these?
Thanks
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Some libraries are not available on ur system which is required for gnome. get these libraries from:

http://www.software.hp.com/products/GNOME/downloads.html

The GTK+ libraries are also provided as a stand-alone depot. This depot provides the files needed to run Netscape 6.x (and later) browsers, as well as Mozilla 1.x. It is not necessary to install the GNOME desktop bundle to run those applications.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Syam

As far as I know, no.

You can follow my or other advice here or start your own thread. If you install the hp depot version you should be okay with mozilla.

SEP
