    <description>I see no reason why you should not be able to do this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;check:&lt;BR /&gt;samba logs&lt;BR /&gt;directory permissions&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;smb.conf settings check them against a working server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <title>samba share depth</title>

      <description>I am trying to share out the HP UNIX directory:&lt;BR /&gt;/share/eng/softrel&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I can share out /share and mount it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I cannot share out:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/share/eng/softrel &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;or even:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/share/eng&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I get the message cannot find the &lt;BR /&gt;network path \\server1\share\eng not found.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have done this before with subdirectories&lt;BR /&gt;but now I am baffled as to why it is not working now.</description>

      <description>May be you got the wrong share definiton in the smb.conf&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[SHARENAME]&lt;BR /&gt;   path = /usr/somewhere/else/public&lt;BR /&gt;   writable = yes&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you have the above definition, you should connect to \\netbios-name\SHARENAME to have access to /usr/somewhere/else/public.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you try \\netbios-name\usr\somewhere\else\public you will not get connected to the share.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
