      <description>Hello, I have a problem with sendmail version 8.13.1, the basic problem is that I lose connection to por smtp randomly&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the sendmail its runing and up.&lt;BR /&gt;the card network its up and respons, no error in car, no error in switch and ouput debug&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;*************************************&lt;BR /&gt;telnet 10.1.1.11 25&lt;BR /&gt;nothing --&amp;gt;no response&lt;BR /&gt;***********************************&lt;BR /&gt;telnet 10.1.1.11 25&lt;BR /&gt;220  ESMTP only users authorized for server turbo&lt;BR /&gt;***************************************&lt;BR /&gt;ramdonly response automatic..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the number of conecctions is good&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is a server for relay smtp&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>mailq&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;is mail queuing and not geting on the box.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;sendmail -v -q&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;process the mail queue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ps -ef | grep sendmail&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is the daemon running?&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/rc.config.d/mailservs&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is the SENDMAIL_SERVER=0 or 1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1 means start sendmail.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To manually start the daemon.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/init.d/sendmail start&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Diagnostics:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;sendmail -v -d8.99 -d38.99 someone@some.net&lt;BR /&gt;type some text&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;ENTER&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;ENTER&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;good diagnostics.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/ENTER&gt;&lt;/ENTER&gt;</description>

      <description>Permissions are not correct in the /var/spool/mqueue folder.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also, probably problems in /var/mail&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the mqueue folder needs to be owned by bin and  the owner needs write permissions on it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;drwxr-xr-x  /var/spool/mqueue&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;That someone@someone.net needs to a real email address. Sorry I didn't make that clear.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It appears you do have good dns resolution. Once the permissions problems are resolved, mail should go through.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;check the file /var/adm/syslog/mail.log for more information on this issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Does the inability to connect correspond at all to system load?  If your system gets to (or close to I believe) 100% busy, sendmail will stop accepting connections.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;mark</description>
