Redeployed HP-UX Server

Gd Day Forum,

Currently I have an ignite server named igniteserver and I am planning to redeploy my current HP-UX server named serverA as a new server named newserverA. IP address reminds the same.

Work to be done: I would like to re-ignite serverA from igniteserver. Currently I am able to see serverA icon on igniteserver.

Query: serverA hostname will be changed to newserverA. How will the ignite process begins?

My interim suggestion: To ignite as serverA and then proceed to change the /etc/hosts file?

Need your forumers comments.

Hi,
You don't need changing any host files. Just do a "boot lan install". When you are prompted for the hostname and network config, type in the new name and IP, select the Recovery Archive and GO.
