    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; I experience 2 failures during bootup. they are &lt;BR /&gt;1. start NCS broker daemon  =&amp;gt; (FAILED)&lt;BR /&gt;2. start audio server daemon =&amp;gt; (FAILED)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the message in /etc/rc.log is:&lt;BR /&gt;start NCS broker daemon&lt;BR /&gt;output from "/sbin/rc22.d/5590ncs start":&lt;BR /&gt;EXIT CODE : 1&lt;BR /&gt;   Starting the DCE RPC Daemon&lt;BR /&gt;            /opt/dce/sbin/rpcd&lt;BR /&gt;"/sbin/rc2.d/S590ncs start" FAILED&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Start audio server down&lt;BR /&gt;Output from "/sbin/rc2.d/5770audio start":&lt;BR /&gt;Cannot communicate with rpcd -Aserver exiting&lt;BR /&gt;ERROR CODE 1&lt;BR /&gt;"/sbin/rc2.d/5770audio start" FAILED&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What could be the problem?</description>

      <description>First to disable audio FAILED:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# cd /etc/rc.config.d&lt;BR /&gt;# vi audio&lt;BR /&gt;and set AUDIO_SERVER=0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;at next boot FAILED on audio server will become N/A&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Stf ;-)</description>

      <description>for NCS broker daemon look at this doc:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.dsps.net/RPC.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.dsps.net/RPC.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;at the end they says, in a nutshell, that dce make the same or more functions that ncs so you just have to disable ncs at startup...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you just have to move /sbin/rc2.d/S590ncs to another directory (it's better) or delete it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Stf ;-)&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
