      <description>Gd Day Forum,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would like to delete a volume group vg06 from a cluster node pair NodePrimary and NodeSecondary and recycle vg06 with smaller number of harddisks.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Correct me if I am wrong,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Query: I need to vgexport /dev/vg06 on both the cluster nodes first?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then I will perform the following:-&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;@NodePrimary&lt;BR /&gt;1) mkdir /dev/vg06&lt;BR /&gt;2) chmod 755 /dev/vg06&lt;BR /&gt;3) mknod /dev/vg06/group c 64 0x060000&lt;BR /&gt;vgcreate -p 64 -e 10000 -s 4 /dev/vg06 /dev/dsk/c3t0d1&lt;BR /&gt;4) vgexport -p -v -s -m /tmp/vg06.map vg06&lt;BR /&gt;5) ftp the /tmp/vg06.map to NodeSecondary&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;@NodeSecondary&lt;BR /&gt;1) mkdir /dev/vg06&lt;BR /&gt;2) chmod 755 /dev/vg06&lt;BR /&gt;3) mknod /dev/vg06/group c 64 0x060000&lt;BR /&gt;4) vgimport -v -s -m /tmp/vg06.map vg06&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Just wondering did I miss out any commands?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards/cliff&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>your plan looks fine to me, and yes you will need to vgexport the vg on both nodes before recreating it&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
