Problem Running Nickel

hello ..

I have a problem running the Nicel on my Hp-UX machine. It seems to just hang at the "Verifying Filesystem/Disk Information..." portion. I suspect that there is a problem with one of the disks but when i physically check the disk everything seems to be ok.

Please advice.

This might happen if the /tmp is too small.
Because by default, Nickel dumps the data in /tmp
try running Nickel by giving a different filesystem for output rather than /tmp

Thank you for the feedback. I checked by /TMP FS and only 46% is used....

Please check /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log for any disk related messages

Hi Guys ..

Thanks for all the help. One of my HBA card failed causing the disk connections to my EMC storage to fail as well. I guess this whould be the cause.
