I want the name and IP to stay the same. This was a loaner box that we had until we received the replacement. I'm concerned about device files. by removing and reinstalling all this will it work?

Are you able to use an ignite backup from one server to a different server? We just got a new server and we want it setup exactly the sae as the other one.

If they are of the same, or very similar models, then yes you can.

Just be sure to do an advanced install and change the name and IP address on the new server.

I had a bad experience when cloning V-class to Superdome by using ignite, after ignited to Superdome, the server keep crashing, for sure the option (restore to another hardware) was selected but server still crashed. Eventually, we had to reinstall everything into Superdome. I would say ignite works perfect in the similar model and similar hardware config.
