Hi,

I downloaded both PHSS_28433 & PHSS_30967 and installed as bundle. PHSS_30967 can be verified with swlist but not PHSS_28433.

Does it mean that no need PHSS_28433?

My application is asking me whether PHSS_28433 has been installed.

Rgds,
YC

Hi,

I need help to interpret the following message when I apply patch PHSS_28433 in an N-class server running HP-UX 11.00:

NOTE: The fileset "PHSS_28433.LANG-HELP,r=1.0" is a "sparse" or |
|| "patch" fileset which may only be installed upon a previously |
|| installed base fileset. The specification for the required |
||          base fileset is "Auxiliary-Opt.LANG-HELP,fr=B.11.00,v=HP".         |
|| Since there is no fileset on the target or selected from the |
|| source which matches this specification, fileset |
||          "PHSS_28433.LANG-HELP,r=1.0" will be excluded.

Appreciate any pointers to resolve the matter.

Thanks in advance,
YC

The "PHSS_28433.LANG-HELP" fileset is not for your box... You can only install this patch if you have the "Auxiliary-Opt.LANG-HELP" fileset installed. This part of the patch is for that fileset.

Sounds to me like you have the Auxiliary-Opt product, but the "help" files aren't installed. It's nothing to worry about as I'm sure the PHSS_28433.LANG-STARTUP patch fileset was applied w/out error/warnings.

hope this helps,
-denver

hi,

PHSS_28433 have a dependency patch.
you have to install PHSS_30967 before installing PHSS_28433.

check the patches are installed or not by following commands.

swlist -l fileset |grep PHSS_28433
swlist -l fileset |grep PHSS_30967

regds,
Hi,

Patch can be applied on some product/base file set for fixing some bugs or for some enhancement.
In your case your system does not have base fileset Auxiliary-Opt.LANG-HELP,fr=B.11.00,v=HP, so yous system don't required patch PHSS_28433.

Sunil
