I think this will work. Probably you may need to install some more device drivers etc after the ignite install as you will have a diffrent hardware on the D-Class.

Regds,

Kaps

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade a B1000 machine running HP-UX 10.20 to HP-UX 11.00. This is a very important machine so I would like to clone the machine to another D class by using Ignite-UX. The purpose of doing this is to keep the services still running until I complete the B1000 OS upgarde. Not sure whether the D class is compatible with the B1000 machine.

The D-class can run HP-UX 10.20 and 11.0 server version. The B1000 has PCI I/O, while the D-class has EISA and/or HSC I/O. I would be surprised if Ignite would work, but you can build a D-class from Core CDs and ftp files. Most programs should run.
