Hi all, (Thanks in advance.)

The swlist -l patch is listing all the packages installed on the machine. It is listing all the packages for which is_patch=false.

And also i have one requirement:-
if we have a patch name i would like to check is it installed or is it part of any patch that supersheds.

For listing patche show_patches is reccomended. It is installed thru a patch.
For the latter I don't have an answer.

For you second question you could run the cleanup command in a preview mode.

# cleanup -p -c 1
Superseded # Times Superseded Disk Space in /var/adm/sw/save Superseded By
========== ================== ============================== =============
PHCO_12555 1 175104 bytes PHCO_27446
